A popular comedian and movie actor, Debo Adebayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, paid a courtesy visit to Madestone Football Academy in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Saturday, May 3, 2025.
He visited the academy to celebrate his birthday with the kids at Madestone Football Academy.
His arrival at the academy was greeted with loud ovation as kids, parents, guardians, coaching crew and management staff of the academy showed admiration to the special guest who used his jokes to put a smile on the faces of kids and the audience.
A renowned comedian, content creator, and actor, Mr Macaroni, from the moment he arrived, was all smiles, eagerly greeting both parents and players.
He toured the training ground, watched the kids in a training session with their football artistry and cheered on boys and girls across all age groups.
Mr Macaroni expressed his satisfaction with the commitment of the young players in the academy, saying that the kids are full of energy and have a great future in their footballing careers.
He also encouraged every young athlete to remain focused, listen closely to their coaches, and admonished them to be disciplined on and off the pitch.
One of the highlights of the day was Mr Macaroni’s tribute to the Head Coach, Tobi Olubiyi, a UEFA‑licensed professional.
According to Mr Macaroni, Coach Tobi has worked tirelessly to build an environment where talent can flourish.
“His resilience and commitment to these kids,” Mr Macaroni noted, “are shaping the football stars of tomorrow.”
Speaking about Mr Macaroni’s visit, the head coach who doubles as the founder of the Academy, Olubiyi Tobi, expressed his delight
to have a public figure of Mr Macaroni in their midst, saying that his visit to the academy reinforced how far Madestone Football Academy has come, and how much potential lies ahead in every child who steps onto their field.
Tobi noted that the academy still remains committed to nurturing talent, building character, and creating moments that matter.
He, however, thanked Mr Macaroni for the historic visit and commended the coaching crew, players and staff management for their loyalty, support and commitment to the success of the academy since its inception.
“Thank you, Mr Macaroni, for celebrating your birthday with Madestone Football Academy, and thank you to our entire Madestone Football Academy family for making the day truly unforgettable,” he said.
