The All Progressive Congress (APC), vice chairman candidate in Agege Local Government, Hon. Abdul Ganiyu Vinod Obasa joined other candidates at the reception held by the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tuesday at the State House.
This was a meeting where the Governor used the occasion to congratulate all the candidates ahead of the Local Government Council Election which holds in July in Lagos and to give them the assurance of the state government’s support for all the candidates.
The Governor said at the reception: “Today, we hosted all APC candidates for the upcoming local government elections at Lagos House, Marina.
“I encouraged them to engage deeply with the communities they hope to serve. Campaigning is more than asking for votes, it’s about showing up, being present, and building trust. I also reminded them that leadership is a team effort. They need to work closely with their vice chairmen and fellow local officials to drive real progress at the grassroots level, where it matters most.
“Our people deserve leaders who are accessible, accountable, and committed to genuine service. That is the standard we must hold ourselves to.”
