PHOTOS: Ooni’s Wife, Olori Temitope Enitan-Ogunwusi Joins Russian Ambassador To Celebrate Victory Day In Abuja

The 2025 Moscow Victory Day Parade was a military parade held in Red Square, Moscow, Russia, on 9 May 2025, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Victory Day, which celebrates the defeat of Nazi Germany and the end of the Eastern Front of World War II.

On May 4, in Lagos, on the eve of Victory Day, a motor rally and the Immortal Regiment action were held, organized by the Association of Russian Compatriots. A gala dinner dedicated to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War was also held.

The Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Abuja rolled out the drums to celebrate this historic milestone which clocks the 80th anniversary this year. A gala night  was put together by Ambassador Andrey L. Podelyshev and his wife, Mrs. D. Podelyshev

With selected high profile dignitaries who included the Queen of Ooni of Ife, Her Regal Majesty, Olori Ambassador Dr. Temitope Enitan-Ogunwusi, the Russian Victory Day was another moment of unconditional surrender of Nazi Germany and marked the Soviet Union’s Victory in the Great Patriotic War and signalled the final collapse of Nazism.
