It was excitement galore on Wednesday as the new board takes over the administration of football activities in Lagos State.
The elections held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena (formerly known as Onikan Stadium) on Lagos Island saw favourite, Fouad Oki emerging the new Lagos State Football Association Chairman after polling 13 – 1 to defeat his main challenger, Tade Azeez erstwhile vice chairman of the association.
Independent News Express reports that Liameed Gafaar, proprietor of 36 Lions Football Club was elected as the Vice chairman. He polled 10 out of 14 votes to defeat Dotun Coker.
The event had in attendance dignitaries and major sports stakeholders across the state including the Director General of Lagos State Sports Commission, Oluwatoyin Gafaar.
