It was celebration galore at St Patrick College, Asaba, Delta State on Monday when four boxers of Team Lagos fought their ways into the finals of the boxing event of the ongoing U-15 National Youth Games.
To many bookmakers, the qualifications of the four boxers was not a surprise as Lagos is known as the powerhouse of boxing in Nigeria. The state just showed its dominance in the pugilist sport once again at the youth level.
The boxers are 44kg Bolarinwa Michael, 42kg Yakubu Sofiat, 42kg Bello Olamide Lawal and 40kg Agboola Oyindamola
The support was led to the ring by the Director General of Lagos State Sports Commission, Hon. Lekan Fatodu who alongside other officials jubilated with the boxers at the end of the proceedings on Monday.
