PFAN Plans Big For Peter Rufai Final Home Journey 

Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (Nigeria), have concluded arrangements to ensure the late legendary Nigeria goalkeeper Peter Rufai gets a befitting final journey which begins 21st August, 2025.

According to the statement released by the General Secretary of PFAN, Comrade Edema Fuludu, PFAN has been working in conjunction with Lagos State Football Association, the Lagos State Sports Commission and the Rufai family. 

The body will be lying in state at the Onikan Stadium, Lagos by 10 am on Thursday 21st August 2025, while a valedictory football match would be played in his honour by Ex- Nigeria International footballers.

All football clubs and academies affiliated to the Lagos state football Association, would be dressed in their official club kits. Members of Nigeria Football Supporters club, SWAN and football Fans are also expected to turn out in large numbers at the Onikan Stadium, to pay their last respect to the late iconic goal keeper.
