Technical Director of U-15 Igando Football Academy of Lagos, Muhammed Aberejo has confessed that their friendly match defeat against U-15 Beyond Limits was a wake up call and eye opener.
He disclosed this after his team suffered 6-1 against U-15 Beyond Limits on Friday at the Remo Stars Stadium,Ikenne, Ogun State.
Aberejo who was impressed with his players performance noted that the friendly match also exposed his young lads to play in international standard football pitch and learned a lot from their opponents.
“Our Defeat against Beyond Limits was an eye opener and wake up call for the coaching crew and my players themselves.I am happy that the friendly match exposed them to learn fundamental basic of the game.
The opportunity to see Remo stars FC in (senior team) in traning section before our friendly match was a moral booster for my boys.My intention was to expose the players and which is part of our programme in this year”,he said.
Reacting to the result of the match, Aberejo said he was not bother about the outcome of the result but attributed their defeat as a result of bad weather.
“It was a good exposure for our boy’s development program to learn the fundamental basic of the game.
“The opportunity to see Remo stars main team training section is a moral boosting for our boys.
“Though we did not go for winning rather to exposed and develop our boys.
“IGFC is using Beyond Limit FC template and with time we also be a house name team both locally and internationally like our dealing team beyond limit.
“The results not bad for us as an upcoming team not up to a year but the weather conditions did not allow our boys to express themselves better but we look forward to revisit our father team again be for year runs out.
It was a good exposure for our boys, and we will pick it up from there, “he concluded.
