The much-anticipated Grand finale of Ikorodu Divisional Football League will hold on Sunday at the Police Barracks football pitch, Igbogbo, Ikorodu, Lagos.
The league is which put together by the Ikorodu Divisional Football Association under the leadership of Alhaji Lukman Sonibare kicked off on August with 18 teams drawn into 3 groups of six teams.
Each group produced two teams and two best losers were selected to make up Super eight.
At the end of the league, Alajede Active Talent FC and Utmost FC from Imota would slug it out on Sunday in the Grandfinale to determine the true champions of division in year 2023/24 season
Chairman Ikorodu DFA, Alhaji Sonibare thanked God for the success of DFA league and expressed gratitude to the organizing committee for making this year’s league a huge success .
“We thank God that the grand finale is coming up on Sunday. Let me thank board members of Ikorodu DFA for their commitment to this league and secondly, I will also congratulate the finalists for their impressive performance throughout the super eight and I believe that the real championship would emerge on Sunday and wish both teams successful outing,” he said .
