The 12th edition of Kidsport Charity Cup which holds on Saturday at the Unilag Sports Centre, Akoka in Lagos promises to be a funfair sports fiesta.
Organisers of the event headed by Bukola Alabi informed journalists on Thursday in Lagos that the one day fiesta is packed full of series of activities for both participants and the guests to have fun.
According to her, teams such as Kidsport FC, FC Ablaze, Mavlon FC and Principal’s Cup champions, Government College, Lagos will feature, adding that “Lemonade Network will play against Kidsport All Stars, a team which is made up of celebrities, alumnus from the homes and orphanages as well as dignitaries.
“We want to use this to further promote inclusion in our society. Another match to look forward to is the match between Kingmakers and Nigeria Info. It’s going to be a Saturday of complete, non-stop fun and talent discovery,” Bukola Alabi said.
Since 2009, Kidsport Charity Cup has hosted orphanages and welfare homes in Lagos to a dynamic football tournament. The one day tournament will bring together no fewer than six orphanage homes, two schools, two grassroots football academies and two organisations to fight for honours.
