The much anticipated Ikoyi-Obalende (IKOBA) Inter Secondary Schools Football Competition would kick off on 18 September at the Wahab Folawiyo High School, Lagos Island.
The tournament cordinator, Olayinka Shokoya told our correspondent that the tournament is organised to serve as a preparatory ground for public secondary schools ahead of Lagos Principal Cup.
The Leader of Ikoyi-Obalende Football Coaches Council said they are ready to organise hitch free inter schools footbll tournament and urged the participating schools to always play by the rules and regulations.
“It is going to be an exciting tournament for the participants.We are happy to organise this tournament so that it would help these schools to prepare for the Lagos principal cup that would hold later in the year.After our draws on Friday, we would know the schools that would play the opening match,”he said.
Among the schools expected in the tourney are Wahab Folawiyo High School, Ireti High School, Falomo High School, Government College, Victoria Island, Government College, Maroko,Akande Dahunsi Memorial School, Government College, Ikoyi and Ilado Community High School and Girls Senior & Junior Secondary Grammar School, Keffi Obalende.
