The much anticipated Agege Football Coaches Council Cup kicks off today (Friday) by 3pm as organisers expected match venue to full to the brim.
The tournament, which tagged”Agege Coaches Challenge Cup”, is put together by Agege Football Coaches Council.
Agege United and Youthful Talent 99 FA would play the opening match at the Oniwaya High School, Agege, Lagos.
Chairman Organising Committee, Olamide Adedapo in a chat with our correspondent early today said he expected full house in the opening match saying that the tournament is the talk of the town in Agege and its environs.
“In the last two weeks now, our competition is talk of the town and i must say to you this morning that we are expecting full house this afternoon.We have provided adequate security around the match venue because of our our invited dignitaries that would be attendance.
“The two teams are fully ready and their fans have promised to give their darling teams full support.It is going to be an interesting opening match and I wish both teams good outings,”he said.
Adedapo who doubles as Leader of Agege Football Coaches Council urged the football fans to shun violence during and after the game saying that any fan forments trouble would be sanctioned accordingly.
A total of 16 teams are participating in the competition and five centres are selected to be used throughout the competition.
