Organisers of the Peace Cup have commenced early preparations for the championship which begins on 23rd June 2024 at the Akinola football pitch, Aboru, Alimosho, Lagos.
No fewer than 15 teams have confirmed their registration and readiness for the tournament sponsored by football enthusiast Kolade Kolapo in collaboration between Destiny Football Agency and Royal Trust FC.
The tournament coordinator Dr. Kolade Ibrahim acknowledges the significance of this partnership, emphasizing its role in enhancing the integrity of the tournament and serving as a platform for talent discovery nationwide.
“Within just two days of opening registrations, the tournament has already attracted 15 out of the expected 16 clubs. This early response underscores the enthusiasm and anticipation surrounding the upcoming competition, promising an exciting showcase of football talent and sportsmanship,”he said.
Among the teams confirmed for the tournament are Athletico Lagos, Frontliner FC, Tridal Tech FC, Sunday Set All Star, Labasco All Star, Junior Milan, Excel All Star, Sizoko FC and Akinola All Star.
Others are Adonia FC, Crown Star FC, Future Hero FA, Destiny Reigns FA, Wameerah FC and Olon FC.
