Open Screening: Larry Boss, Coaches, Commend High Turnout

Chairman of the Larry Football Club of Agege, Olanrewaju Ebenezer Sanyaolu, has expressed his satisfaction with the high turnout in day one of the club’s open screening exercise, which was held on Thursday morning at the NYSC camp, Iyana-Ipaja, Agege, Lagos.

Close to 30 young players from Ogun and Lagos attended the screening exercise supervised by Coach Seyi Abidemi and Dele Adetona

The screening exercise was organised to select young players who would play for the club in preparation for future high-profile football competitions.

Some of the players gave a good account of themselves, as fans who watched the screening were satisfied with the players’ performance.

Speaking after the screening, Sanyaolu said he was impressed with the commitment of the players and urged them to remain focused throughout the screening exercise.

“What I saw today (Thursday) showed that there are better days ahead. I was impressed with the screening, and the players displayed a high level of seriousness and discipline on the field of play, and they should continue and remain focused in the next two days of the screening,” he said.

Coach of the team, Dele Adetona, also admitted that the screening exercise lived up to expectations in terms of turnout noted that all the players gave a good account of themselves.

“It was a successful screening, and I must commend all the players for their impressive performance. We are still expecting more players to join us on Friday by noon,” he said.

Meanwhile, the screening exercise continues on Friday by 12noon at the NYSC camp, Iyana-Ipaja, Agege.
