Ooni Of Ife’s Hopes Alive Initiative Sets To Take Humanitarian Services To The Next Level

The Ooni of Ife, His Royal Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Babatunde Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, has never for once left anyone in doubt about his passion and love to service humanity and make life better for his citizens and indeed the human race.

That is why in his Imperial Benevolent, he has decided to ensure that the society feels the positive impacts of his Non-Governmental Organisation, Hopes Alive Initiative (HAI), which had since 2017, been on a social mission to address the needs of different communities across Nigeria and Africa to improve their well-being.

Deputy Convener of HAI project, Her Regal Majesty, Queen Temitope Morenike Enitan-Ogunwusi, while letting out the cat out of the bag, revealed the plans of HRM Oba Enitan-Ogunwusi to reposition the HAI for purposeful delivery of the mandate to serve the humanity.

The Queen has these to say of what will be unfolding in days to come: “Our goal is to highlight vital issues affecting communities and facilitate change to build a sustainable, safe, and worthy society for future generations.

“To carry out our purpose effectively, we decided to re-think and reposition the organization to align with global best practices for non-profit organizations.

“As a result, we have refocused the vision and mission for HAI, redesigned our logo as part of a broader organizational restructuring.

“This rebrand is necessary because we want to ensure our visual identity aligns with our goal and strategy to reach as many communities as possible.

“For example, our logo must work across various usages, from simple signposts on the roadside to complex infographics to digital platforms. In that regard, we will also be launching a new website.

“We remain proud of our work over the years to help disadvantaged communities.

“However, now we intend to be more proactive in supporting our beneficiaries. We will do this by communicating and building better relationships with the communities we support, also with our supporters and sponsors.”

Queen Temitope Enitan-Ogunwusi is passionately committed to the service of the needy. She is a selfless social service provider assiduously complementing the House of Oduduwa in giving hope to the hopeless.

The HAI under her watch has in the last few years shown a great level of responsibility attested to by various executed projects in the country, uplifting orphans and less privileged children in the society with a view to giving them hopes for a better tomorrow.

The Hope Alive Initiative has been seen as an NGO with a vision to create and potentiate global improvements in chosen areas such as education, healthcare, economic development, environment, arts, aids relief and other social fields.

Water for All project of the organisation has touched many people. Oja Ife, the oldest and the first market in Yorubaland located in Ile-Ife, Osun State, southwest Nigeria, benefited with the donation of a functional and well-equipped modern borehole, so also was the Unity Market at Kola area of Agbado in Lagos State.

Two communities, Pakuro community in Owode-Ofada Local Government, Ogun State and Iwaya in Yaba Local Council Development Area of Lagos State received unsolicited water projects as part of Ooni of Ife’s royal involvement in alleviating the suffering of the people.

During the lockdown to curtail the spread of dreaded COVId-19 in Nigeria, the HAI reached out to the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) Ikorodu Branch with food provisions to support the work the PDSS in NBA Ikorodu was doing.
