The Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) in collaboration with Olympafrica International Foundation is set to take the Olympafrica Youth Empowerment through Sports (OYES) programme to Amuwo-Odofin in Lagos.
Director of Olympafrica Centre Nigeria, Abdulmalik Ibrahim, confirmed this while having a chat with this writer at the NOC office on Thursday inside the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos.
“We are set for the programme” a delighted Abdulmalik started. “And it will take place on Saturday July 20th at the Olympafrica Centre near The Lord’s Chosen Church in Amuwo-Odofin LGA in Lagos” .
“Our target is to have young boys and girls between the ages of 10-15 and the programme starts by 9am” he further added.
“Youth empowerment has been a major focus of the OYES programme and we are poised towards ensuring that all nooks and crannies in the country benefit from the event”.
Abdulmalik further enjoined parents, guardians to encourage their children to come out for the event, as it is bound to make a positive impact in their lives.
