An eminent Nigerian, Ambassador Dr. Edward Olutoke has emerged President of Africans in Diaspora Chamber of Commerce ( ADICC).
The appointment which was made recently in Tampa, Florida, USA will see Olutoke who also doubles as President of Ikeja Chamber of Commerce Industry and Agriculture use his wealth of experience to coordinate the Chamber that serves as a bridge between African businesses and the global market as well as foster economic growth, enhance trade relations, and support entrepreneurship among Africans living abroad.
He’s also expected to lead the Chamber towards achieving it’s goal of empowering African entrepreneurs and businesses in the Diaspora by providing resources, fostering connections, and facilitating access to global markets, thereby contributing to sustainable economic development in Africa and beyond.
Olutoke known for the transformation he has brought to Ikeja Chamber is also by the appointment expected to leverage on that to achieve one of the key aims of the organisation which is to create a robust network of African professionals and businesses in the Diaspora, promoting collaboration and knowledge, sharing market access, facilitate access to international markets for African products and services as well as organise Capacity Building that will offer training and development programs aimed at enhancing business skills and competencies amongst others.
By the appointment, he’s also expected to represent the interests of African businesses in the Diaspora at various international forums and policy discussions aimed at attracting investments into African businesses and projects by showcasing viable opportunities to global investors
Speaking on the appointment, Olutoke described it as a great honour promising to use his position to bring vibrancy into the Chamber and serve as a bridge between African business men in the Diaspora and their international counterparts.
“I’m highly honoured by this appointment and I promise to use my wealth of experience to ensure that the Chamber meets the objectives of it’s founding fathers.
” In doing this, I’ll ensure that vibrancy and dynamism is brought to the Chamber by organising regular Business Forums and Conferences to discuss market trends, share success stories, and explore business opportunities and many more aimed at helping African businesses both at home and in the Diaspora grow.
” We shall also ensure that the chamber achieve it’s goal of being a catalyst for economic empowerment by providing African entrepreneurs and businesses in the Diaspora with the necessary tools, resources, and networks to thrive in the global market.
“We will also use our collective strength to fight poverty headon in Africa by raising more Responsible Leaders across the globe.”
