Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Honourable Mobolaji Ogundenle was officially honoured recently as a Grand Patron of Badagry Divisional Football Association (BDFA).
This official ceremony took place in the commissioner office where the BDFA executive members officially decorated Ogundenle as Grand Patron of the association following his immense contribution to the youth, social and football development in Badagry and its environs.
Chairman of BDFA, Martins Osondu in a chat with our correspondent said the honour bestowed on Ogundenle was well deserved saying that the Grand Patron has done well in area of youth, social and football development in Badagry and its environs.
He disclosed that before he was appointed as commissioner in the state, he always support and sponsor football competitions in Badagry without any assistance from anybody saying that such person deserved to be honoured as Grand Patron of BDFA.
“We the executive members of BDFA unanimously agreed to honour our brother, friend, Honorable Ogundenle to become our Grand Patron of our football division because we really appreciate him for what he has done in Badagry.
“We are happy today because he did not reject our honour and we want to tell him once again thank you for accepting us in your office and keep the good works in Badagry and Lagos at large,”he said.
