Chairman of Samjason Football Club, Samuel Uchenna Eke has voiced out that their semi final match against King Best FC in the Odunmbaku Gold Cup is not a do or die affair.
The much anticipated match holds on Wednesday by 4pm at Egan Grammar School, Igando, Alimosho, Lagos.
Eke in a chat with our correspondent this morning said their semi final match is like other matches noted that his team and coaching crew are not under pressure to deliver the final ticket.
“We will approach our opponents like we approach every match we have played, it’s just another game in our plate. No special approach to the match.
“Of course the opponents have big names and big players, and they should be under pressure not my team.I have young boys who are groomed to develop and explore and i don’t put them under pressure rather we are focused, humbled and purposeful in our tomorrow’s game,”he said.
In the other semi final, Sizoko FC face Adosag FC by 2pm on Wednesday and a winner in each game would clash in the final tourney name after a Lagos based APC chieftain, Cardinal James Odunmbaku.
Speaking on the tournament, the convener, Iyk Madu-Obi expressed satisfaction with the organisation and officiating of the tourney.
He noted that this year’s edition is better than inaugural edition saying that most of the teams play by the rules of the game.
He, however, wished all the semi finalists all the best in their outings tomorrow.
