NYG VIDEOS & PHOTOS: Busy Weekend For Team Lagos, Medals Won, Many Athletes Closer To Podium Finish

Team Lagos are having a very busy weekend starting from Friday at the ongoing 8th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State.

The Lagos youngsters have been showing brilliance in their respective sports. While some of them coast home with medal winning results, some have moved closer to the podium giving hope of more medals coming into the kitty of the state as the competition progresses.

Swimming has already produced two gold and one silver medals with more medals waiting to be won as the games enters Day 4 on Sunday.

In some of the results posted by Team Lagos on Saturday, Bright Emmanuel of Lagos State was too much for Kelvin Bebe of the FCT Abuja who she defeated in straight set 4-1, 5-3 in the girls singles tennis event.

Ndifereke Benjami beat Afolabi Rokibat of Team Oyo in another straight set 4:1, 4:1. The duo have qualified for the quarter finals of the girls singles.

Team Lagos players in Round 3 of the male classical team Chess event. They played against kwara State.

In the female football match, Eko girls beat the hosts, Delta through Kashinmawo Temilola and Kemi Adebiyi two goals.

The 3X3 Basketball event played on Saturday at the Government House, it was a whitewashed game for Lagos as the girls beat Plateau with 13-1 points. With this result, Team Lagos zoomed to the semi finals
