A Lagos based Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL match commissioner, Dr Kolapo Kolade has commended the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Match Commissioners’ Appointment Committee led by Alhaji Babagana Kalli for sanitising the league through the appointment of knowledgeable people and technocrats appointed to match venues.
Kolade while chatting with our correspondent in Lagos showered praises on Alhaji Kalli whose committee appointed match commissioners on merit saying that the success of the league is as a result of good officiating and reports of match commissioners sent to committee.
“If you watch the league from week one till now, you would appreciate the fact that the match commissioner appointment commiittee led by Alhaji Babagana Kalli has done well.I am not saying this because i am a match commissioner but i see a lot of changes among our match commissioners.
“Some of us attended the seminar or retraining recently which really helped many of us.The match commissioners are very straightforward and knowledgeable and they write what they see in the course of the game so we need to commend Alhaji Kalli for his commitment to the growth and development of the league in the country,”he said.
Kolapo who is also a medical practitioner also extended his commendation to Operating Officer of NPFL, Davidson Owunmi for his commitment to the league and described him a football administrator per excellent who knows the football management and administration to the core.
He however advised the NPFL club administrators to cooperate with Owumi so as to take the league to the next level.
