The much anticipated 1XBET Community Cup would kick off on 3, October 2023 at the Nitel playground, Oshodi, Lagos.
Eight teams are divided into five conferences. One of the conferences is Oshodi Centre where teams in group a and b would be in action on Tuesday till Friday at the NITEL playground.
In the fixtures released by the organisers, Capital Avalanche face Cheche Stars FC by 1pm, while Soccer Touch and Fackson would clash by 3pm.
Action resumes on Wednesday when Bariga FC tackle G Innovation by 1pm as Ifako FC battle Emiloju FC by 3pm.
The second group matches would begin on Thursday and Friday at the same venue.
Commenting on the commencement of the competition, media consultant to 1XBET Nigeria Limited, Waheed Akanni said all is set for the opening match and urged the teams to abide by the times, rules and regulations of the competition.
He disclosed that the tournament is a non-league based football clubs, adding that the purpose of the tourney is to promote football among the community based football teams in the state.
“This competition is not meant for league or amateur football clubs, it is basically for community based football teams. It is a new concept and we want to sustain it by allowing community based football teams to come to the limelight and showcase their talents,” he said.
