Nigeria’s Under 20 coach, Moses Aduku, has praised Bayelsa Queens top striker Janet Akekoromowei Seimenya following her goal in the match-day season of the Nigeria Women’s Football League.
Seimenya scores her 4th goal of the season against Adamanwa queens on Wednesday.
Bayelsa Queens remained unbeaten with a 4–1 win over Adamawa Queens in Makwada.
Captain Blessing Ilivieda put the visitors ahead in the 12th minute, before Omo Afensemi equalised for Adamawa.
Goals from Janet Akekoromowei (36’) and Kindness Ifeanyi, who scored twice (45’, 66’), secured the win.
Ilivieda now has three goals for the season, Akekoromowei has scored in three consecutive matches to make a total of four goals and Ifeanyi leads with five league goals.
In other matches of the day, At the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Edo Queens beat Pacesetter Queens 2–1.
Dannaz Ladies ended a four-match losing streak with a 2–1 victory over Ahudiyannem Queens.
Abia Angels beat Delta Queens 1–0 at Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, with Blessing Okon scoring in the 55th minute, ending the hosts’ three-game winning run.
Robo Queens suffered their first defeat of the season losing 1–0 to Remo Stars, while Rivers Angels roared back with a 5–0 win over Heartland Queens.
