Team Manager of Bucknor Football Club of Ikeja, Habbeb Abidemi Adebowale has cautioned his players to remain focused despite their victory in the ongoing Nigeria Youth League.
The Nigeria Youth League kicked off across various centres in the country on Tuesday.
Bucknor defeated Austenplus Football Club 2-1 at the Remo Stars Stadium, Shagamu, Ogun State.Bucknor were at away in the week one to pick three points against their opponents.
Two goals from Adebayo Timmy and Akinyemi Wasiu in each half was Bucknor needed to secure a victory over their opponents.
Speaking after the match, Adebowale said it was a good start for the team that just took part at the the just concluded Lagos super five League and cautioned the players not to be carried away with the victory.
“It was a good start for us and the most important thing is to get the three points at stake.I must commend the players and coaching crew for the good work they did but there is still room for improvement.
This is the league format and we have many matches to play and the players as well as coaches still need to remain focused and do well in their subsequent matches,”he said.
Meanwhile Bucknor would face Shuffle Select next week Tuesday at the Remo Stars Stadium in the week two of the league.
