Lagos Rhinos Rugby Football Club would face another herculean task this weekend as they face Bulls Rugby Football Club in week two of the ongoing Nigeria Rugby League taking place at the Bariga CMS Grammar School, Lagos.
Lagos Rhinos fought tooth and nail before they defeated R2 Finesse Rugby Football Club 32-30 in the week one.
As they are preparing for the week two, Lagos Rhinos would face another battle when they confront Bulls boys.
A victory for Rhinos would push them top of the table.The encounter promises to be tough as both teams would be looking for victory.
In the women’s category, Trinity face R2 Finesse in their opening match. The women’s rugby match is going to be another exciting game as two teams would fight for honours during the entire duration.
Speaking ahead of weekend matches, match coordinator, Samson Okeowo said the league was organised to bring the best out of the players and secondly to discover young talents for Nigeria national team.
He applauded the performance of clubs that started their campaigns last week saying that the game of rugby is gathering momentum in Lagos and Nigeria at large.
“We are looking forward to the week two of the league. We postponed some matches last week due to one reason or the others, so all the teams are fully ready for the league and all matches will go as scheduled this weekend, ” he said.
