Ex international and former Super Eagles goalie, Joseph Dosu has charged his boys to go for victory against FC Jide Oguntuase football team when both teams clash in the return leg.
FC Dosu went to Ikorodu recently to draw 2-2 with FC Oguntuase in their home and the return leg would decide team that would qualify for the next stage.
Speaking ahead of the return leg, Dosu admitted that the match would be kneely contested game but remained optimistic that his boys would be triumphed.
“It was a tough game in Ikorodu. We almost won the game but our return leg at home would be another battle. I have told my boys to take their chances so that they can still remain in the tournament,” he said .
Dosu, however, thanked the Lagos State Football Association LSFA under the leadership of Alhaji Liammed Olawale Gafar for this intiative. He said the tourney brings ex internationals together after many years they had left the active football.
“I thank Lagos FA for organising such competition for the ex internationals.I was in Ikorodu for our first leg match and people came out in large number to come and see who is Dosu Joseph. The ex internationals are not the players but we are in the touchline to dish out instructions to players during match.
“Let me say I was overwhelmed and surprised with the honour i received from the spectators and other officials after the match. I think this initiative is good for legends who had left active football for many years and come back again to come and mentor and coaching the grassroots players,” he said.
