Nigeria Baseball & Softball Association Ag. Secretary-General Set To Bury Late Father

The Ag. Secretary-General of the Nigeria Baseball & Softball Association, Mr. Robert Onwukwe is set to bury his late father. This is happening barely five days after the end of the just concluded Baseball Western Regional championship which took place in Lagos, Nigeria.

Onwukwe who played his role in ensuring the success of the championship did not show signs of being bereaved all through the duration of the two-day regional championship, but he has now moved down to his home town in Enugu State to play a role in ensuring his father is laid to rest.

According to the burial programme released by the family of the baseball Ag. Secretary-General, the late Ogbuefi Anthony Udeji Onwukwe who was aged 84, will begin his final journey back home on Friday, 23rd August,2024 with a Christian Wake in his compound at Umuoma, Ifite Mmaku, Awgu L.G.A Enugu State by 5pm.

On Saturday 24th August, 2024 at 8:30am, the remains of the deceased will be moved from the Eagles Hospital Mortuary near Nkwo junction to his compound for a brief Lying-in-state, before it is moved to Udochukwu Memorial School, Ifite Mmaku for Requiem Mass at 9:45am.

He will be committed to mother earth and interment follows immediately.The burial programme will come to an end on Sunday 25th August, 2024 with a family thanksgiving Mass at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Ezioha, Mmaku
