The National Chairman of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC), Rev. (Amb) Samuel Ikpea has wished Nigerians seasons greetings . Ikpea charged all to keep to the hopes which the new birth of the Christmas brings and look forth of the New Year.
Ikpea who spoke from his base in Lagos described this season as one which comes amidst challenges but says we must all be optimistic.
“I understand what it looks like for Christians who celebrated this Christmas amidst the hardship in the country” Ikpea started. “It is a tough one but we must be hopeful and pray that the joy which comes with the season is replicated in our lives”.
Ikpea who is optimistic about the Nigeria project also believes that the year 2025 is a stepping stone for Nigeria’s success at the continental and global scene in football.
“The 2025 is a year for us to make a decision” Ikpea further added. “It is a year when Nigeria will be in two major continental tournaments which is the AWCON and AFCON”
“Our Super Falcons and Super Eagles will take us to Morocco on two occasions. In July for the AWCON and in December for the AFCON, and I believe that it is a year for us to conquer Africa and rule once again”.
Ikpea was also quick to remind all that the year 2025 is a year when the 2026 World Cup dreams will be achieved also believes that the qualifier which continues next year will afford us another opportunity.
“I know that we need to step up for our preparations and qualifications for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and am sure that when the World Cup qualifier resumes in March 2025, the Super Eagles will take a bold step” Ikpea remarked.
He however wish Nigerians a Merry Christmas in areas and a prosperous new year, believing that the year 2025 will be a better year for all.
