NCC Urges Licensees to Update Contact Details to Avoid Sanctions

2024 World Consumer Rights Day

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has stressed the importance of timely updating of contact details of all licensed entities. Under the Licensing Regulations 2019, licensees are required to notify the NCC of any change in their contact details within one week of the change.

The Director of Public Affairs of the NCC, Reuben Muoka, in a statement, stressed that Maintaining accurate contact information is essential for effective regulatory oversight and ensures smooth communication between the commission and its licensees. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in sanctions, which highlights the need for licensees to be vigilant in managing their contact details.

Licensees are requested to update the following information through the NCC eServices platform at https://eservices.ncc.gov.ng by January 9, 2025:

Physical Address: The principal place of business, including postal code, geographical coordinates and landmarks.

Postal address: if different from the physical address.

Email addresses: Current and active email contacts. Telephone numbers

: Up-to-date and accessible contact numbers.

Contact personnel details: names and contact details of relevant personnel.

The NCC has warned that failure to provide accurate and localized physical addresses will result in appropriate sanctions.
