While it is statutorily established to regulate the Nigerian telecommunications industry; the function the Dr Aminu Maida’s led Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has been performing credibly well, the Commission has not also shied away from the responsibility of educating and enlightening the subscribers about how best they can use their phones optimally to get the value for their money.
The NCC on its Official Facebook Page recently posted some information for the advantage of Nigerian telecom consumers, saying that they should “Be Phone Smart”.
The Commission posted that subscribers should “not entertain unknown callers who refuse to introduce themselves.”
The regulatory agency wants the people to be security conscious.
In another post, the NCC says there are a lot of things subscribers do on their phones that deplete data. It, however, says there are still ways to avoid data depletion, one of which is avoiding unnecessary downloading.
The Commission says: “Do you know…stream it, don’t download it!”
