Chairman, Lagos State Squash Association, Tomi Falase has revealed that top ranked national players are expected to feature in this year’s Prime Atlantic Squash Open.
The 2nd edition of the annual tournament would serve off on October 31,2023 at the Squash Court, Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere.
Falase while chatting with our correspondent in Lagos stated that the tournament will feature U-16 category saying that the association would continue to discover young talents and provide avenue for them to showcase their talents.
He however harped on the needs to keep promoting the sport and developing young players with necessary support and exposure to international competitions.
According to him, exposing them to international competitions would enable Nigerian players to get Professional Squash Association ranking points.
While commending Prime Atlantic for keeping faith with the championship following successful maiden edition last year, Falase enjoined corporate bodies and private individuals to support the development of the squash in the state and country at large.
