Lagos SWAN Mourns Death Of Ignatius Ajuonuma And Onaolopo’s Wife

Sports Writer Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Lagos Chapter has announced the passing of one of its own prolific sport journalist TV/ Radio, Ignatius Ilechukwu Ajuonuma.

The association also sympathises with Onaolapo Oduola of mockinbird.com.ng over the loss of his wife after child delivery.

The late sports broadcaster, Ajuonuma, was until his demise, was a staff of Daar Communications, owners of Ray Power FM and African Independent Television (AIT).

The Executive Committee alongside entire members  expressed their heartfelt condolences to the immediate families of both Ajuonuma and Onaolapo and conveyed deepest sympathy. 

The Chairman, Olatutu Oladunni  eulogises Ignatius Ajuonuma, whose illustrious career spanned several years leaving an indelible mark in sports journalism. His contributions to sports reporting, analysis, and commentaries at Daar Communications left an indomitable legacy in the world of Nigerian sports.

The association prayed for Mr Onaolapo for the loss of his wife, adding that God will give him the fortitude to beat the great loss.
