Speaking on behalf of their members, Oladunni said SWAN embarked on this “Walk for Sanwo-Olu” because of his great performances. She added that the governor should not forget all his promises to the sports writers Association of Nigeria SWAN Lagos state chapter as the Association looks forward to celebrating his victory come March 18th, 2023. for his second term in office.
She said: “The walk is packaged by sports enthusiasts and lovers of sports in Lagos state who love what we are doing in SWAN and who love what Lagos state government has been doing in sports generally with collaboration with Tunde Iginla who is also one of the elder brothers to the First Lady. Â
“Dont forget that sports is a unifying element, which brings people of diverse backgrounds together. We are advocating for the governor because the Lagos state government has been a supporting pillar for us in SWAN for a very long time. It is important that we do this to show our humble support to the governor. Lagos state government was instrumental to the completion of our secretariat at the National Stadium in Surulere and anytime we want to do anything, once we approach the government through the Lagos State Sports Commission, the help and support come in handy. Lagos State House of Assembly has also been there for us. This is the time they too need our support, hence our coming out with this Walk for Sanwo-Olu.”
