Lagos State Leagu

BY SUNDAY AKINTOYE

Head Coach of Young Strikers Football Club, Waheed Kosoko has expressed confidence that their next match against Stallion Diadem would be better in week two of the Lagos State League.

Kosoko disclosed this after his team suffered a 5-0 away defeat against Heritage in the first week of the league.

Stallion Diadem FC of Isolo will welcome Young Strikers at the Lagos State Polytechnic, Isolo, on Saturday by 3pm.

Kosoko, while speaking with our correspondent said he had put their first defeat behind him and concentrated on their next match against Stallion Diadem.

“Like I said before our first defeat was a wake-up call and we cannot afford to lose our next game against Stallion Diadem.Though the game would be tough because our opponents lost their first match too. It is going to be a star match of the week and I pray for fair officiating,” he said.

Meanwhile, Stallion Diadem suffered a 1-2 away defeat against Lekki Junior Strikers in week one and their next home match would be another tough task for the homers.

It is obvious that the game would be tough considering the fact that both teams are yet to record a win or draw in their first week.
