Lagos State Ministry of Basic Education has charged the Lagos Principal Cup committee led by Honourable Rasaq Ajala to swing into action and begin early preparation for this year’s edition.
The Lagos State Football Association, LSFA last year constituted a principal cup commiittee led by Ajala. The commiittee was set up to bring Lagos Principal Cup back to schools.
During the meeting held on Wednesday between Lagos Ministry of Basic Education led by Jamiu Alli-Balogun and Principal Cup Commiittee had agreed to work together to make this year’s a memorable one.
In a chat with our correspondent, Ajala confirmed that the meeting was organised to fine tune arrangements for the commencement of Lagos State Principal Cup and thanked the Lagos ministry of Basic Education for its unalloyed support towards the inter schools football tournament.
“Let me thank the Lagos Ministry of Basic Education and other relevant stakeholders for their support towards Lagos Principal Cup.Of course we had a meeting with the officials of ministry and other stakeholders and I am happy that our delibrations was fruitful.
“Part of the meeting was that both the ministry and committee would work together for the success of the competition.They have charged us to commence preparation with immediate effect,”he said.
