The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs. Ganiat Atekola recently engaged stakeholders in the Creative and Film Industry in a bid to further cement the relationship between the Ministry, the Film and Censor Board and the stakeholders.Â
Speaking at the event held on Monday at the State Treasury Office Resource Centre, Alausa, Atekoja stated that the creative industry in Lagos State is a big industry with valuable stakeholders including Actors, Producers and Distributors contributing to the economy of the State.
She emphasised the need for them to embrace the Lagos Film Fund initiative created for filmmakers to improve their skills, just as she expressed her optimism about the ongoing Lagos Film City project which is designed to accommodate every genre of the creative industry.
The Permanent Secretary, therefore, urged everyone in the industry to be partners in progress in the #Greater Lagos Rising vision of the present administration.
Responding on behalf of the stakeholders, Mr. Tade Ogidan, a veteran in the industry appreciated the State Government for always finding time to engage the stakeholders to move the creative industry forward.
