Lagos Launches Digital Training To Empower Youth

The Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Tertiary Education, has announced the commencement of the Eko Digital training programme in Badagry and Yaba as part of its efforts to promote education and entrepreneurial skills development among youth in the State.

The training, which will take place from 20th to 24th June, 2025, at the Public Library in Badagry and Yaba respectively, aims to provide participants with access to digital and entrepreneurial skills, emotional and artificial intelligence, as well as high-quality education and training.

Addressing journalists in Lagos on Monday, the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Hon. Tolani Sule said the state government is committed to maintaining excellence in all tertiary institutions, and this digital and entrepreneurial skills training is a testament to her commitment. The training will offer a range of programmes and courses designed to equip youth with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in their chosen fields.

The Badagry and Yaba training centres will provide students with access to state-of-the-art facilities, experienced instructors, and a supportive learning environment, enabling them to acquire the skills and knowledge needed to compete in today’s fast-paced world.

He said the Lagos State Government believes that investing in education and skills development is crucial to creating a more prosperous and competitive economy and improving the quality of life for youth and residents in general.

The Ministry of Tertiary Education, therefore, invites the youth of Badagry and Yaba to take advantage of this opportunity and participate in the programmes and courses on offer free of charge.

This training is a continuation of the Eko Digital skills training which took place at the Public Library, Agege, four weeks ago and part of the state government’s efforts to make Lagos a hub for educational excellence.
