The Lagos Ministry of Youth and Social Development has organised a Canada Study Tour for Youth Leaders in the State to equip them with global skills required for leadership.
In his keynote address at the Press Briefing and Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding in Alausa today, Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Youth and Social Development, Mr. Mobolaji Abubakre Ogunlende, stated that the initiative demonstrates Government’s unwavering dedication to youth development, global exposure and inclusive leadership, adding the study tour will empower the youth leaders to think globally and lead confidently with a strong sense of civic responsibility.

Mr. Ogunlende said the Study Tour with focus on “Leadership in Innovation and Sustainable Development” and afford participants opportunity of gaining hands-on experience in different areas.
Similarly, the Permanent Secretary, Pharm (Mrs.) Toyin Oke-Osanyintolu affirmed that “Empower Lagos” is not just a call to action but a movement to produce changemakers and make Lagos shine brighter on a global stage.
Executive Director, Future Perspectives, Abby Asekun, while speaking further on the Study Tour, assured participants of life-transforming experience both from the academic and practical perspectives.
