It was a jubilation galore for the football fans around Ikotun and its environs on Thursday morning when Seamoriow Football Academy came from behind to defeat Adhoc Football Academy from Ikorodu in the semi final of the U-15 Seamoriow Football League Championship taking place at the Seamoriow Sports Complex, Abaranje Road, Ikotun, Alimosho, Lagos.
Seamoriow boys who played before their fans came from behind to end the pulsating tie 3-3 before went into penalty shootouts.
Seamoriow fans were anxious when their darling team were two goals deficit but jubilation erupted the air as Sunday Victor scored equaliser in the second half to put their final ticket back on track.
During the penalties,it was ended 4-2 in favour of Seamoriow as Boniface Obasi scored the last penalty kick for Seamoriow to send their fans into wild jubilation.
Hundred of Seamoriow fans were excited and rejoiced with the players after the high tension soaked match, while some of them were dancing others were in tears of joy to express their excitement to the players and coaching crew.
Victor Sunday from Seamoriow adjudged the man of the match.He was outstanding throughout the encounter watched by mammoth crowd.
Reacting to defeat, Adhoc Coach, Wale Thomas expressed disappointment with the outcome of the game and commended both teams for good play displayed before the fans.
In another semi final match, defending champions, B United defeated 36 Lion FA 1-0 to reach the final stage on Sunday.
