Football stakeholders, who attended Association Of Football Club Owners (AFCO) seminar, have expressed satisfaction with the topic the guest speaker talked about titled “Principles & Practices Of Football Business“.
The seminar was put together by AFCO held on Thursday in Ikorodu and the paper was delivered by guest speaker, Adedotun Coker who doubles as vice chairman of Lagos State Football Association LSFA.
Many football stakeholders who were in attendance said they were impressed and satisfied with the topic delivered by the gusest speaker, while some said through the seminar, they were able to understand the importance of football business.
Speaking to our correspondent after the seminar, vice Chairman of AFCO, Ikorodu chapter, Segun Ajiroba said the topic was well treated by the gusest speaker and thanked the participants in Ikorodu for taking their time and attended the seminar at this period when football is now a business globally.
“What can I say again than to thank our guest speaker for doing a thorough job on the topic. I was so impressed because he was able to touch many aspects I don’t know personally before. This kind of seminar is not only good for the club owners, it is equally good for other football stakeholders in the industry,” he said.
While delivering his topic,Coker encouraged club owners in Ikorodu to register the players through the LSFA and NFF on all FIFA platforms in order to facilitate smooth player’s tr ofansfer within Nigeria and international.
He also emphasized on the importance of insurance for players and officials and urged the club owners to create their social media as a way of promoting the club, players to the foreign clubs.
He appreciated club that have social media already andd insisted that social media play a vital role in the team’s success.
In his own speech, Chairman Ikorodu Divisional Football Association, Alhaji Lukman Sonibare charged club owners in Ikorodu to register with the State body in order to facilitate smooth player’s transfer.
