Team manager of Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Club , Eletu Muftau has charged the players and backroom staff led by Isreal Adegolu to remain focused and show high level of resilience in their match against Innovator 24 FC in the first round of Lagos State Challenge Cup popularly known as Lagos FA Cup.
A Lagos based semi professional club would face Innovator 24 FC by 9:00am on Thursday at the Legacy pitch of National Stadium,Surulere.
The state biggest football tournament would kick off across designated centres as fans are looking forward to the exciting matches.
Muftau in a statement copied our correspondent admonished the players not to be complacent and approach all their matches with all seriousness.
He admitted that Lagos FA Cup in the past is full of upset and surprises and warned the players to show resilience and doggedness against their opponents.
“We are new in Lagos FA Cup despite our popularity in Lagos but we are not afraid to play any team in Lagos FA cup.The players need to show seriousness and discipline both on and off the pitch.
“We are not coming to Lagos FA Cup for jamboree but we are here to send signal to other opponents.We respect our opponents so much but we are not afraid to play them.
“The coaching crew led by Adegolu know the task ahead and they know what to do to make sure that the team go far in the tournament.On behalf of Chairman of the club, Prince Kazeem Eletu,I wish them all the best,”he said.
In other matches on Thursday, Diadem Stallion tackle Arubinjaga FC by 9:00am at the Alade Stadium,Ipaja Command, Alimosho and Ona-Ara FC battle Ikorodu City feeders by 10am at the Maracana stadium.
Seamoriow FC face Switch FC by noon at the Maracana stadium as Vido 99 FC confront Ibeju Lekki United by 3pm at the Legacy pitch of National Stadium, Surulere.
