Lagos FA Cup: Be Ruthless In Your Next Game, 36 Lion Coach Urges Players

Head Coach of 36 Lion Football Club of Lagos, Akinshola Francis Akinrele has charged his players to be ruthless and merciless in their next game against De Elite FC in the second round of the Lagos State Challenge Cup popularly known as Lagos FA Cup.

Akinrele said this after his team defeated Sporting Lagos feeders 2-1 in the first round of the Lagos State Challenge Cup which held on Monday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere.

36 Lion would face De Elite FC on Thursday by 2pm at the Mobolaji Arena Stadium popularly known as Onikan Stadium.

The dark skinned coach commended his boys for reaching the second round and charged them to be ruthless, merciless and remained focused in their next game.

“I am happy that we have progressed to the next round but our performance was not too good enough against Sporting Lagos feeders.I know that our next match would be tougher and i want my boys to be ruthless and show no mercy to their next opponents,”he said.

Commenting on the mood in the camp after their victory against Sporting Lagos feeders, Akinrele said the players were in high spirit and ready to go far in the tournament.

“The players admitted that they were not at their best but assured me that they were going to improve in their next game.We have our target in Lagos FA Cup and we have not reached half of it and i believe that our next match would be better,”he said.
