Head Coach of Honour Football Club of Oshodi,. Daniel Ibezim has thumbed up his players for their brilliant performance against Foursquare FC in the week three of the ongoing Lagos Divisional Football League.
Honour FC who started their campaign on a 6-0 scandalous defeat against JS Sport FA,played barren draw with Active FA and bounced back on Thursday to beat Foursquare FC 2-1 in a pulsating tie played at the Maracana Stadium, Ajegunle,Lagos.
The league which started some weeks ago is currently organised by Lagos Divisional Football Association.LDFA.
Ibezim while commenting on his team’s performance expressed satisfaction with player’s commitment on the pitch saying that their mental strength really propelled them to victory.
While admitted that there is room for improvement in the team, Ibezim continued to praise his boys for their last minute strike saying that the victory would serve as a moral booster to perform better in the next match.
“It was a sweet victory for us because this is our first win in the league.We started poorly but today (Thursday) we emerged victorious.The team are making progress but the players should not be carried away with this euphoria,” he said.
In other week three results,JS Sports FA defeated Active FC 2-1,AYICRIP NELIS walloped Varsity FC 3-0, Embassy King lost 0-4 to Ikorodu City FA,F8Balkers humbled Phoenix Boys 4-2, while Kings lost 0-1 to Begi Stars.
Sistus defeated Future Stars FA 2-0,Baraka pip Triple A Goshen 2-1,Strikers FA thrashed Mojisola Adetoro FA 4-2, while 12 Angels played 1-1 with Citysports Academy as Spring Soca defeated Michael May FA 3-1.
