Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Club against all odds proved bookmakers wrong following their 2-0 victory over Dominion Hotspurs in their last group match in the ongoing Lagos City Cup taking place at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena formally known as Onikan Stadium, Lagos Island.
Before the match Eletu are in the third position on the table trailing behind group leader, Box 2 Box and Dominion Hotspurs who have four points each with goal difference.
Eletu players who came to the match venue with high expectations scored their early goal by Ibrahim Bature through free kick as Chinedu Emmanuelq scored second goal through penalty kick to seal victory against Dominion Hotspurs.
The second half witnessed missed scoring chances by both teams.Eletu Keeper made some saves which helped his club to book a place in the quarter final
With this victory, Eletu garnered six points in three matches q to remain second position, while Box 2 Box have seven points to top group a table.
Eletu would play G12 FC on Tuesday morning by 10am at the Onikan Stadium.Eletu coach, Isreal Adegolu said his team are ready for their oppenents but noted that their match against G12 would be kneely contested.
“It is going to be another tough game against G12. I am happy that we are among the teams to reach the quarter final stage so i am looking forward to play G12 on Tuesday morning,” he said.
