No fewer than 200 Lagos para athletes are in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja for the second edition of the 2023 National Para Games.
The contingent comprising of 148 male and 52 female athletes are in fine form to compete for honours in their disciplines.
Lagos state government through the state sports Commission are not leaving any stone unturned in ensuring that people Living with disabilities are given the opportunity to showcase their God given talents in tandem with the social inclusion programmes and initiatives.
They will be participating in 15 different sports including para table tennis, sitting volleyball, wheel chair basketball, para athletics, amputee football,para shooting, para swimming.
Others are para soccer,para canoeing, para cycling, wheel chair tennis, para powerlifting, para taekwondo,para karate and para badminton.
Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja and other designated venues have been scheduled to hold the para festival.
