Leading Pro-Democracy group, Kwara Must Change has applauded Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his visionary leadership in launching the construction, rehabilitation, and upgrade of 209.77 kilometers of rural roads across the state.
This urban renewal effort, under the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP), opens an additional layer into the ongoing urban renewal efforts of the Kwara State government in rural communities, as it directly addresses the critical need for better infrastructure to connect agrarian areas to urban markets.
Rural roads are the backbone of agricultural economies, and this initiative will not only ease access to markets but also enhance food security by enabling farmers to transport their produce more efficiently.
By committing over N4 billion in counterpart funds to RAAMP and now investing about N20billion in rural road projects, Governor AbdulRazaq has demonstrated a deep commitment to uplifting rural areas and laying the foundation for sustained economic progress. The establishment of agro-logistics centers in key locations will further solidify Kwara’s position as a hub for agricultural excellence.
Kwara Must Change believes that the governor’s strategic planning and investment in infrastructure will lead to long-term benefits, empowering communities and improving the quality of life for all citizens.
“We therefore call on all stakeholders, including contractors and local communities, to support the timely and efficient completion of these projects.”
