Executive Director of KAO Foundation, Kolawole Ajibade Oyekan has presented a sum of N100, 000 cheque to Yusuf Kareemot Kanyinsola who emerged the overall winner of the just concluded 1st summer coaching classes held at the Holy Trinity Primary School, Isale-Ileko, Lagos Island.
Yusuf who is a JSS 2 student of Girls Senior Secondary Grammar School, GSSGS,Ikoyi-Obalende performed excellent well not only in summer coaching but also did well in the area of debate which informed the founder to support her education with the sum of N100,000.
Oyekan in a chat with our correspondent, commended Yusuf for her outstanding academic performance at the summer coaching and charged her to remain focused on her academy pursuit.
“Yusuf was an outstanding student among 400 students that attended our programme and I am impressed the way she performed well in both summer coaching and debate. That is the reason the foundation presented her a cheque of N100, 000 as a way of supporting her education,” he said.
Oyekan said the foundation would continue to support the needy and youths empowernment and ensure that all its programmes lined up for the year would be carried out as scheduled.
The beneficiary, Yusuf expressed her appreciation and promised that she would not disappoint the foundation throughout her stay in secondary school.
“Let me use this opportunity to thank the executive director of the foundation, Mr Oyekan for giving me 100,000 to support my education. I am very grateful and I pray that God would continue to bless him and his family, “she said.
Yusuf mother, Taibat Binuyo also thanked the foundation for its kind gesture and promised that the money would be spent judiciously on her education. She said the money would go a long way in her education and prayed for the success of the foundation.
