Jagaban Cup: 36 Lion Win As Imperial Stumble In Day Two

36 Lion Football Club of Lagos on Tuesday came from behind to defeat Broad City 3-2 in day two of the Jagaban Cup taking place at the FIFA legacy pitch of national stadium, Lagos.

36 Lion have six point in group A after they defeated Ikorodu City Football Academy 2-0 in the opening match held yesterday

A victory or draw for 36 Lion in tomorrow match against FC Bethel would guarantee them a place in the final

A group leader in each group would automatically play in the final sheduled for Thursday morning.

In another match, Imperial FA suffered 1-2 defeat in the hands of Ijebu United.

Imperial need outright win against SGFC on Wednesday to stand a qualification to the final.

Imperial Director,Bankole Atiba said he was not bothered about today’s defeat saying that what the management is interested is the development of the players and player’s marketing.

“Our defeat today was secondary to me because we want to market our players in this scouting football tournament.We are not here to win the trophy but we are here for marketing our players and expose them to the new environment,”he said.

In other results, Ikorodu City defeated FC Bethel 1-0 as SGFC pip Dino FC 2-1.
