The ongoing Iyke Madu Obi Ramadan football championship has entered round of 16 on Friday at Igando palace playground, Alimosho, Lagos.
In the round of 16 fixtures released by the organisers, Sammy FC take one Future Star feeders on Friday by 4:30Pm.
Action resumes on Saturday when Kay Properties battle Pacos FC by 3:30pm.Two matches would be played on Sunday as Zifa confront Eleven Wonders by 2:00pm, while Clever Olutunu battle De Sholly by 4:00pm.All these two matches would be played in Ogun center.
Samba Tornados would welcome Bucknor by 2:30pm while Future star 99 would face AR ROYYAN by 4:30Pm at Igando center.
On Monday, IGFC take on Dortmund as Future Hero tackle Ijegun FC on Tuesday by 4:30pm.
Match cordinator, Prince Sulaiman Gbadamosi expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance since competition kicked off but warned the remaining teams to keep to official time.
“The competition is better yearly in terms of organisation and officiating and the standard of play by the teams.I held a meeting with the coaches some days ago and they have resolved to abide the rules governing the game.Any team violates the rules would be fined accordingly,”he said.
He however thanked cup donor, Iyk Madu Obi for his support for the competition in the last few years and promised to make this year a memorable one.
Meanwhile three players are leading the highest goal scorer.David Dimaku from Ar Royyan scored four goals, Habeeb Bello of IGFA scored four goals, while Seyi Makinwa of IGFA scored three goals.
