Head coach of Igando Football Club, Muhammed Aberejo has lamented his team’s defeat at the just concluded Iyk Madu Obi Ramadan football championship.
In the final played recently at Igando palace playground, Alimosho, Lagos, Igando FC lost 2-4 to Future Hero after barren draw at the regulation time.
“It was a good match for both teams unfortunately we were not lucky in the penalty shootout.We created some scoring chances in the second half but failed to convert our chances.I congratulate our opponents for their fighting spirit exhibited throughout the duration,”he said.
Match cordinator, Prince Sulaiman Gbadamosi expressed gratitude to God for the success of the competition and congratulated the Future Hero for their hard fought victory.
He also commended Chief Iyk Madu Obi, for standing with him for almost 10 years and prayed for Almighty God to continue to bless him.
Gbadamosi however also appreciated Ganiu Wahab Balogun Balogun , Deputy Leader Igando Ikotun LCDA and other football stakeholders and media for their support throughout the championship.
Meanwhile in the award presentation Saliu Yusuf of Future Hero FC won Best Coach.Highest Goal scorer went to Sheun Makinwa of IG FC.
Youngest Best player Okunlola Bolu super Accurate FC as Best Goal keeper went to Michael Dairo future Hero.
Best defender, Lucky Akanji of Kay Properties FC won Best defender as Bashir Lawal Adedamola won Best refree
Most valuable player, Adeleke Idris of Future Hero also won most valuable player, while 11 Wonders FC won well behaved team.
