Founder of Island Stars Football Academy, Victor Akinmoyo has officially announced the renewal of sponsorship with a well known company based in Lagos, Intercontra on Tuesday.
The official signing took place at the company office located at Lekki, Lagos.
Chief Executive Officer of Intercontra, Olumide Jinadu and founder of Island Stars Academy, Akinmoyo penned their signature on contract paper to officially announced the renewal of the sponsorship with the academy in the next one year.
Speaking with journalists after the official signing, Akinmoyo said he was delighted with the sponsorship renewal with the Intercontra and noted that the renewal of sponsorship would attract other sponsors to come to the academy.
“This is to officially inform our esteem parents, guardians and management staff of the academy about our renewal sponsorship with the Intercontra company.I am happy with this renewal sponsorship and I strongly believe that this sponsorship would make the academy waxing stronger and keep our kids excel in the future engagements,”he said
Akinmoyo also expressed gratitude to the Intercontra for its financial and moral support given the academy in the last two years stating that the sponsorship deal would motivate the academy staff and management to give their best.
“Let me use this medium to commend our sponsor, Intercontra for coming at this moment to renew our sponsorship.We are very grateful to the company, and we really appreciate what they have done for us in the past,” he said.
The football administrator explained that programmes have been lined up for the 2024/25 seasons and admonished the coaches and players to prepare for football activities for new season.
Among the football events are ISFA League, Intercontra League, African Stars Cup, Laola Cup in Germany, Italian training programme and Elite Super Cup.
Akinmoyo explained that the Island Stars Academy has more than 100 kids ranging from 4 to 16 years noted that more kids are expected to register before the year runs out.
He disclosed that the academy is not only train the kids but organise seminars and workshops for the staff to keep them abreast with the modern day football coaching and management.
He revealed that the academy is committed to assist the kids saying that some kids have enjoyed scholarship from the academy in the last four years of ots existence.
The academy is currently train at Banana Island football pitch,Ikoyi, Lagos with certified NIS football coaches.
The founder revealed that they are planning to set up the academy in Kano and Ilorin by next month.
